Born and raised in New York City, Gaius has been a part of Five Points Academy since 2006. He started training at the original Broadway location and loves the physical nature of Muay Thai as well as the fluidity of its movements. And as the school has grown, so has he. With eighteen years studying Muay Thai, over fifteen years teaching it, and nearly thirty fights under his belt, Gaius has tons of experience to share. As an amateur and professional fighter, he was the 2007 WKA Novice champion, 2008 and 2009 WKA Regional champion, 2013 TBA Open champion, and won the TBA US championship twice. Gaius was always known for his work ethic, crisp technique, and excellent clinch skills and he brings that same dedication and diligence to his classes and individual sessions. He loves passing his knowledge on to his students, watching them excel, and learning the movements that first attracted him to Muay Thai. Gaius also proudly serves in the FDNY, and you’ll often find him running, hiking, and spending time with his dog, Nux or being a family man with wife, Jerra and daughter, Freya.
