To Alma, Muay Thai is not just a hobby, but a lifeline. She’s been practicing it since 2016 and it’s essential to her physical and mental well-being. A perpetual student, Alma is constantly learning and taking the opportunities Muay Thai provides to grow, improve, and become a better Nak Muay Ying. Alma competed as an amateur for four years and won her division in the 2017, 2018, and 2019 TBAs, the 2019 Warrior’s Cup belt at 48 kg, the 2019 USMTO 45 kg championship, the 2019 WKA World Championship in Poland at 48 kg, and represented the US at the 2019 IFMA World Championships in Thailand. Alma loves sharing her knowledge and has been coaching since 2018, first teaching kids and then moving on to regular classes and private sessions. Alma enjoys watching her students grow, improve, and enhance their skills, sometimes with just a few minor adjustments, and feels that being an instructor has made her a better martial artist. One of Alma’s favorite things is a tasty meal with friends. She feels good food with good conversation is always a great time. Professionally, she is a stylist and wardrobe consultant and loves helping people elevate their look and gain confidence not just in the gym but outside as well.
